AREAS OF FOCUS

The Mandy Kao Foundation mission encompasses Empowering Girls, Promoting Education and Helping Refugees.  The objectives of self-sufficiency, self-confidence, a well-rounded education, and business opportunities are interconnected and interdependent. They lead to success.

The Foundation supports projects each year which specifically focus on helping women and young girls reach their full potential.  When the most basic needs, like food, shelter, safety, and health are addressed, women still face challenges that men never will.  We help young women to build self-confidence and positive self-image through mentoring programs.  More recently, our focus has been on multi-year scholarships for refugee girls going to college.

Working with several non-profit service organizations, the Foundation is proud to support ESL classes, after-school programs and business development programs including the creation of microenterprises for women and minority led business initiatives.

The Mandy Kao Foundation supports organizations and programs that provide hope for underserved populations.
